New COVID-19 Related Autoimmune / Vasculitis Panel
Autoimmune manifestations are commonly encountered in COVID-19 patients. Of particular note is the recently described cross-reactivity between the SARS CoV-2 spike protein and extractable nuclear antigens (ENA). This warrants screening patients for anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) and confirmatory testing with a comprehensive panel of ENA.
Kawasaki-like vasculitis is also a potential complication of SARS CoV-2 infection, primarily in children but frequently in adults. Contributing factors to COVID related vasculitis include circulating immune complexes and anti-cardiolipin antibody (ACA). Identification of these factors may aid in the prevention of adverse thrombotic events.
Immco’s new COVID-19 Related Autoimmune/Vasculitis Panel will help you diagnose patients with manifestations of autoimmune diseases after contracting COVID-19. This comprehensive panel will be read by an immunologist and will help you in the treatment of your patients.

COVID-19 Molecular PCR testing
A molecular test is available to test symptomatic patients for COVID-19. The PCR testing that we use for transplant patients is utilized to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2. PCR testing is considered the most accurate COVID-19 test available.
Immco is committed to serve our Western New York Community by doing our part to help with the COVID-19 pandemic. We are here to serve health care professionals to get the answers you need as quickly as possible.
